I grew up in Northern Virginia on a quiet, forested street. Being cradled by tall trees and dense moss was my world. I began my formal dance training at 3 years old. This early exposure to expressive movement started me on the path I am walking now.

During adolescence, I felt like other people had a rulebook for life that I didn’t understand. It felt like I was perpetually out of rhythm with my peers. In the dance studio, dissonances were still present in spades, but I was able to rely on the structured physical inquiry to find a thrum. I could settle into clearly communicated instruction. I was also encouraged to explore the reflection of my personality through movement.

I feel most myself when I am moving.

My coaching practice works to help people feel more like themselves when they are moving.

My artistic practice is a way for me to communicate my inner world and connect with other peoples inner worlds in turn.

In that sense, my professional practices are intrinsic to one another.
